The Athena Montessori Children's Program started its journey in 2018 with humble beginnings, welcoming just two children in a cozy home setting. Since then, our growth has been remarkable. Over the years, we have continually enhanced our facility and offerings to create a nurturing and educational environment for children aged 18 months to 6 years.
Contact UsAthena Montessori Children’s Program boasts a skilled staff certified by New York State and trained in early childhood education. Our teachers, with Montessori certifications and experience, excel at fostering creative and independent thinking in children, making learning fun and enjoyable.
Athena Montessori Children’s Program facilities are designed to inspire and engage young minds. Our spacious, naturally lit classrooms have various Montessori materials to support hands-on learning. Our outdoor play areas offer a safe and stimulating physical activity and exploration environment. Daily activities are thoughtfully planned to foster independence, creativity, and a love for learning. Children enjoy a balanced mix of individual and group activities, including art, music, science, and practical life skills, all tailored to their developmental needs and interests.
At Athena Montessori Children’s Program, we value community involvement and the celebration of special events. We organize a variety of activities that bring together students, families, and staff to cultivate a strong sense of community. Our events include cultural celebrations, seasonal festivals, and community service projects, offering children opportunities to learn about different cultures, develop social skills, and experience the joy of giving back. Through these community engagements, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment that extends beyond the classroom.
We found in Athena Montessori the best place for our daughter to be safe and happy! She learned so many things, played so much and made a lot of new friends!
Great daycare with exceptional staff leaded by Mrs. H that’s truly amazing and passionate for what she does. Couldn’t ask for a better experience for my daughter.
We had our daughter Raven in the Athena Montessori Program from age 2.5 until kindergarten, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Ms. Dumi and Ms. Maria were amazing teachers—so caring, patient, and dedicated to making sure Raven was always happy and supported. All of the teachers we met were nurturing and genuinely committed to each child’s growth.
What stood out most to us was how they encouraged independence while still providing gentle guidance and structure. Raven grew in confidence, curiosity, and developed a real love for learning. She thrived not only academically but also socially and emotionally, showing so much growth in problem-solving, teamwork, and everyday life skills. She was honestly sad to leave after kindergarten!
The environment at Athena Montessori is welcoming, safe, and thoughtfully designed to spark creativity and exploration. We’re so grateful to have found this program and highly recommend it to any family looking for a strong foundation in both education and character development.
We had our son in 2 daycare centers before we found Athena Montessori. Our son was bored and unstimulated in the prior centers, but has thrived under the care of Mrs. H. and her staff. We have been thrilled to see his growth in both social and academic skills, as well as general independence in self care. We are thankful to have found Mrs. H. and her school and will miss Athena Montessori when he starts kindergarten.
